Truth has no concept that you could inherit,
nor obtain, nor
smell, nor
create, nor
see, nor
sing, nor
hear, nor
cook, nor
touch, nor
write, nor
taste.
Infinitive.
Truth is a red red apple that you’ve never seen, touched, smelled, heard or tasted. Your father vividly described the red red apple to you in a colorful, soothing bedtime story. You awakened the next morning in a black and white world, where your father no longer is there. “Cold,” “hot,” “warm,” whisper the colorful fairytales from all the bedtime stories you used to listen to long time ago.
Truth is a concept Men can either deny or strive for. It is the very concept Women always accept but a lot of times ignore.
“Hot,” “cold,” “warm,” the fairytales give directions -at the best of their knowledge- while you’re at your childhood bedroom creeping in a dark windy night, going through grey plastic dolls, white balloons, black tanks, grey clown masks, black trains and bears, searching for a red red apple in a black & white world.

I love the feeling this story/tale kindled in me...
I am now imagining you as a fisherman, sitting on the shore of life and throwing the hook again and again to catch a red red apple. Good luck - to all of us- with truuuuuth!
Subjectively, relatively, elusively,infinitely, beautiful.
Respect.

If I were a fisherman, I'd be fishing for a red red fish. wouldn't I? :P
Thanks for being such a great great commentator.

Gee thanks :-)
what's great about an illusion is that ur free to analyze the subject at hand, in whichever manner pleases u. Truth is intangible indeed.. it can be found agreeable by sum and disagreeable by others at the very same time. I guess it depends on ur personal perspective nd whether ur capable of 'sticking by' ur thoughts, analyses, and sentiments.
I've come back because I have more to say (and, of course, wanted to read this again :)
Truth is so subjective. I've spent the greater part of my adult life thus far searching for it, that penultimate truth, searching a plethora of religions, reassessing what my upbringing has taught me, ad infinitum! You know what I found so far? Four things:
1) There is no one ultimate truth- that supersedes all truths except that we are all born and we all die.
2) There is no one ultimate truth, but many truths. It is better to say 'a truth' rather than 'the truth.'
3) Opposite truths can simultaneously exist in the same instant.
4) The truth(s) shall set you free.
Have a great day!

Great thoughts, but I wouldn't jump on conclusions if I were you.
"...creeping in a dark windy night, going through grey plastic dolls, white balloons, black tanks, grey clown masks, black trains and bears, searching for a red red apple in a black & white world."
those objects that u described, are they milestones on one's life? and the constant search in the same world, does it reflect the nonexistence of the subject at hand?
Dear L.R.643,
You have no idea how much I appreciate the thoughts you put into this poem. And I cannot stress this fact enough.
I wrote a long comment, but then decided to email it to you instead. It should be in your inbox now :)
It's very Sin City-ish.
I loved the use of the color red, a color so dangerously passionate. It makes me wonder if this search for the 'red red apple' would result in self-satisfaction or self-destruction.

Good observation. I haven't seen the movie, but now that you mentioned it I can recall the red tie in the movie trailer.
Disregarding the "self" is one of the aspects that make the "search" process interesting. We don't need to always be self-centered. Do we?
I believe that focusing on the process and enjoying it always results on something positive, regardless of the "self".
Thank you for taking the time to read and comment. :)
Oh I like this a lot.
I know that world very well...
cleverly written!
Is it even possible to disregard the "self"?
I think humans are inevitably "self-centered"; although, many times, we may attempt to focus on the process itself, at the end of the day it all boils down to one thing: how has this affected me?
Definitely check out Sin City :)
Dear Anonymous,
Imagination is not an illusion. It is real power. "Altruism" has been imagined and documented as a concept in theology, philosophy, Art, literature.
Darwin himself realized the puzzlement of Altruism in nature. We're still puzzled by Altruistic characters in human history such as Ghandi, Mother Teresa, Rābiʻa al-ʻAdawiyya and many many more.
In fact I believe that altruistic individuals exist to this day. Look around you. You'll be surprised :)
For these people, at the end of the day, it all boils down to one thing: how have they affected the world?
Will check Sin City out for sure :)
If I were in your shoes, I'd check this out:
